About the Author

Rutendo Shadaya is a teenage New Zealand/Zimbabwean author. She is the author of Rachel and The Enchanted Forest and Rachel and The Chevene Pirates. Her writing journey began when she wanted to gift her best friend a book. She started writing at the age of 9 and self-published at the age of 12 in October 2020.  In July 2022, she self-published Rachel and Chevene Pirates her second book of the series
Rutendo enjoys watching and playing tennis, netball, and soccer. In her free time, Rutendo likes to read books, listen to music and hang out with friends.
